As usual, this year’s 39th Pneumology Congress, which will also be the 4th Luso-PALOP Pneumology Congress and 9th Union Europe Conference On Lung Health, will take place at the Congress Centre of the EPIC Sana Hotel, Algarve, from 9 to 11 November.

The 39th National Congress of Pneumology will finally take place in a post-pandemic environment in which, while still paying particular attention to SARS-CoV-2 infection and its consequences, namely in what is known as Long Covid, we are once again giving relevance to all the diversity and scope of Pneumology with the extraordinary innovations that recent research has provided us with, whether in understanding pathophysiology, in the diagnostic approach or in therapeutic intervention. In fact, Pulmonology has stood out in the dynamism and innovation of healthcare, the greatest example of which is that it has turned diseases with no effective therapy and a poor prognosis into chronic diseases with significant gains in quality and life expectancy.
